For iPhone Duo, choose between covering the two halves and adding adjustable viewing support before choosing a color. Apple’s Case and Folio with Kickstand solve different needs. We selected these two because their product pages explicitly list iPhone Duo; a generic foldable-phone case is not a substitute for that model evidence.
Two documented choices, one buying decision
| Exact example | Documented construction and purpose | Main reason to compare | Main limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple iPhone Duo Case, Sand, MKR94ZM/A | Two-part polycarbonate design with matte coating | Coverage around both halves | No quantified hinge coverage or drop result established here |
| Apple iPhone Duo Folio with Kickstand, Navy Blue, MKR74ZM/A | TechWoven exterior with an integrated adjustable support | Reading, viewing and calls at different angles | No angle range, load rating or uneven-surface stability result established here |
Sources: Apple Case, exact Sand part and Apple Folio, exact Navy part. Part identifiers are bound to those colors and regional pages, not every similarly named listing.
Choose the Case if your priority is its documented two-part construction. Compare the Folio if you want its integrated viewing support often enough to justify the extra cost. We cannot establish that either survives a particular fall, protects the inner screen from grit or replaces careful handling around the hinge.
Charging and the complete package
Apple documents case-on MagSafe, Qi2 25W and Qi charging for both products. For the Folio, its page also describes placing the charger behind the open kickstand. Those statements establish supported arrangements, not measured charging speed with every charger or case accessory. Each box lists the case itself; charging equipment is separate. Case charging details, Folio charging details.
| Your requirement | Compatibility check before committing | Buying implication |
|---|---|---|
| Wireless charging with case installed | Match the charger’s requirements as well as the case | A compatible case alone is not a complete powered kit |
| Frequent use of camera and side controls | Ask for exact clearances and verify access with your phone | The reviewed descriptions do not provide clearance measurements |
| Folio used for calls | Check your preferred posture on a level surface | Do not assume a numerical viewing-angle or stability guarantee |
| Screen protector or added hinge cover | Obtain explicit support for the combined setup | These pages do not certify third-party layers or adhesive placement |
The descriptions discuss magnets, but do not provide a complete installation sequence for every component. Follow the instructions supplied with the exact case. Do not use charging-magnet language as an instruction to attach every case piece magnetically, or improvise adhesive placement near the hinge. If installation details matter to your decision, obtain them before ordering.
Budget for the case and any separate equipment
| Choice | US page price observed October 23, 2026 | What the comparison buys |
|---|---|---|
| Case Sand, MKR94ZM/A | $79 before tax | Two-part case |
| Folio Navy, MKR74ZM/A | $129 before tax | Case with viewing support |
| Difference between those examples | $50 before tax | Pay it only if the Folio’s function matters to you |
These are dated displayed prices, not delivery promises or full checkout totals. Shipping, tax and any separate charger are outside that comparison. Other colors, retailers and bundles need their own exact-package check. Recheck the linked pages at purchase time.
A useful final check is to write down the exact case part, the charging arrangement and the phone posture you need. Resolve missing camera, button and hinge-clearance details before treating either case as the solution for a mount or dock. Our magnetic power-bank comparison covers portable power separately; our USB-C cable guide covers cable capabilities. Neither substitutes for exact case-fit evidence.
