Choose a travel adapter by checking three separate things: the socket you will use, the input label on the appliance, and the adapter’s load limit. A plug that physically connects is only the first check. If your device’s input voltage does not match the local supply, this adapter cannot solve that mismatch.
We use SKROSS PRO Light USB AC45PD – World, item 1.302474 / EAN 7640166329107, as one documented example. The current manufacturer manual distinguishes it from AC30PD, non-PD AC and other PRO Light variants. This guide is a destination-and-load decision, not a universal-country promise or an exhaustive market ranking.
Match both sides of the connection
The World package includes the main adapter and a World-to-Europe component. The manual’s diagram shows B/G/I on the main mains-plug side and E/F for the separate Europe connection. Use the manufacturer’s diagrams to match your appliance plug and destination socket; do not read a list of accepted appliance plugs as a list of wall connections. SKROSS manual, diagrams 1–2.
| Trip question | Exact evidence to check | Decision |
|---|---|---|
| Destination socket | Manufacturer country list and actual accommodation socket standard | Select the matching documented connection rather than relying on a country-count badge |
| Appliance plug | Its pin shape/earth requirement against the adapter diagrams | A broad appliance-input socket does not establish every wall socket |
| Europe component | Confirm the World package and its supplied component | Do not assume a similarly named package includes it |
| Several destinations | Check each stop and accommodation | One country’s check does not cover the rest of the trip |
For example, SKROSS’s current PRO country list includes the UK and Type G. It also marks countries where multiple standards are in use. That makes the actual socket relevant even when a country appears on a compatibility list. SKROSS destination list, checked October 13, 2026. This guide does not assign one voltage or socket type to every building in a country.
Read the device input label before connecting
| AC45PD World limitation | Manufacturer value | Consequence |
|---|---|---|
| AC supply range | 100–250V | This states adapter suitability, not voltage conversion |
| Main adapter current limit | 7A | Keep the connected appliance within both current and voltage-dependent watt limits |
| Rated example loads | 700W at 100V; 1750W at 250V | The larger figure is not allowed at every supply voltage |
| Replacement fuse | Slow-blow T 7A, 250V AC,6.3×25.4mm | Use the specified replacement; never substitute a higher rating |
SKROSS AC45PD manual, revision 1.6 dated January 1, 2025, retrieved October 13, 2026. The manual states that the adapter does not convert voltage and the appliance input must match the local supply. The 7A main-adapter limit remains relevant when assembling the World combination; the separate component’s marking does not upgrade the whole assembly.
If the device label is unreadable or excludes the supply you will encounter, stop that purchase/use plan and establish an appropriate alternative with the device manufacturer. This guide does not approve high-power appliances merely because the socket fits.
The manual permits one AC device plus the USB connections. It prohibits multiplug sockets and other adapter plugs, restricts use to enclosed spaces and excludes electric-vehicle charging. This is not a power-strip expansion plan. Source: SKROSS usage instructions.
Plan the USB connections separately
| AC45PD USB use | Manufacturer rated maximum | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| USB-C alone | 45W PD | Exact device/cable profile still matters |
| USB-A alone | 20W | Not an additional independent 20W promise during simultaneous use |
| USB-A plus USB-C | 24W shared | Do not add 45W and20W or expect 45W USB-C with both occupied |
Source: SKROSS current product specifications and exact-variant manual. This guide retains their consistent watt limits without extrapolating a per-device simultaneous allocation or unverified charging speed.
If your laptop needs more than the integrated USB-C rating, verify a suitable separate charger and the adapter’s AC requirements. For charger port allocation independent of plug adaptation, use the GaN charger guide. The USB-C cable guide handles the separate cable identity and protocol decision.
Budget and selection boundaries
| Approach | Budget evidence on October 13, 2026 | Reason to consider | Drawback |
|---|---|---|---|
| AC45PD World documented package | Current exact US price unknown; no numeric band established | Destination arrangement and load fit its documentation | Two occupied USB ports share 24W; multiple AC devices prohibited |
| Destination-specific adapter | Exact model, load, earth continuity and price need verification | One socket standard covers the actual stay | Does not establish support for other stops or voltage conversion |
| Retain suitable existing setup | New adapter cost avoided if verified; accessory cost unknown | Exact manual, markings and condition meet the trip | A similar appearance cannot establish this model’s limits |
DCL has not tested fuse operation, electrical safety, temperature, socket fit or charging. No retailer identity, country-count ranking or appliance guarantee is implied. Select after recording destination socket, appliance input and load, exact adapter variant and USB-sharing needs.
